Association of Indian Universities (AIU) is an organisation and association of major Universities in India. The AIU is mainly concerned with the recognition of Degrees/Diplomas awarded by the Universities in India, which are recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, and abroad for the purpose of admission to higher degree courses in Indian Universities. It acts as a liaison between the Universities and the Government (Central as well as the State Governments) and to co-operate with other Universities or bodies (national or international) in matters of common interest.

The objective of this Cell is to provide information as required by the Govt. from time to time.
