About Department
As one of the leading statistics departments in the state,
the Department of Statistics, Rama Devi Women’s University is serving the state
and nation by producing the best statistician in the country. The mission of the
department is to contribute to the overall objective of RDWU through excellence in
education and research. At present the department is offering Undergraduate course
in Statistics.
Vision
- Spreading of Statistical literacy and strengthening future research and create enthusiasm, interest and passion in the study of statistics.
Mission
- To awaken the students and discover their skills both in theory and practical through dedication in teaching, and commitment towards students and using innovation teaching methods such as seminar, symposium, panel discussion, field trips, exhibition, role play etc.
- To develop strategy in the department such as simulation programme by using advance tool like SPSS, R, Python etc.
- Research activity carry out in many frontier areas such as Multivariate Analysis, Stochastic Process, Operations Research etc.
- To prepare a strong database of e-learning material.
- To develop online video content, Blog and an You tube channel in the name of our department.
