About Department

The department of Botany started in erstwhile Rama Devi women’s college. Subsequently upon up-gradation of the college to university it exists as an undergraduate department under the university.

Vision
  • To Impart quality education in the fields of Botany
  • To make the students acquire an in-depth knowledge relevant to local regional and national needs.
  • To produce well trained careers for students and inculcate the concept of conservation of biodiversity

Mission
  • Establishment of tissue culture laboratory.
  • Establishment of a microbiology laboratory.
  • Initiating the training on mushroom cultivation, vermi-composting, essential oil and phytochemical Extraction from medicinal plants.
