The Faculty of Pedagogical Sciences of Rama Devi Women’s University, consisting the Departments of Education and Teacher Education, was established in the year 2018. The Two-Year B.Ed. Programme of the Department of Teacher Education (Self-finance) was recognised by National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE). The Department aims at building a community of competent educators possessing sound theoretical base of learner-centred pedagogies, life skills and outcome-based education. It has adopted the syllabus prescribed by the TE & SCERT, Government Odisha. The syllabus is based on NCTE Curriculum Framework for Two-Year B.Ed. Programme and all educational experiences are designed to prepare students to qualify for competitive examinations for teaching and higher education. Further, the Department envisions to inculcate values in the prospective teachers to become successful leaders to serve the society consistently with competitive spirit of professional ethics.
The B.Ed. Programme is approved by NCTE w.e.f. 03.03.2018.
